Injections

Injections are another very useful conservative treatment option for spine-related pain.

They are more effective than an oral medication because they deliver medication directly to the anatomic location of the pain origin. The injections that are available are:

There are some other following injections more or less often used for therapy and diagnose of spine-related pain:

  • Facet rhizotomy injection - pain relief by disabling the sensory nerve that goes to the facet joint;
  • Sacroiliac joint block injection - to relief the pain associated with sacroiliac joint dysfunction;
  • Trigger point injection - to treat back and neck muscle spasm and other soft tissue problems;
